Claibourne D. Smith
Dr. Smith was named Delaware State University Acting President on August 20, 2008. A member of the DSU Board of Trustees since 1987, Dr. Smith served as chairman since 1993.
Dr. Smith was Vice President, Technology and Professional Development and Vice Chairman, Corporate Educational Aid for E.I. duPont de Nemours & Company, Inc., retiring in 1998 after 34 years.
Dr. Smith is also a member of the board of directors, Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League.
